The main body of my work - compromised mainly of oil on canvas pieces - is developed serially. These pictures are often the interlaced consequences of each other. I play with the repetition and variation of recurring elements. The apparition of these motifs in new contexts creates a rich visual language that potentially has many interpretations.
The sketchbooks and the works on paper are the first signs leading to the big canvases. They contain the visual thinking, the notes, the planning and sometimes the cleaning up process, the finalization. These pages collectively form a visual diary in which you can follow my organized thoughts.
During my painterly practice of contemplation, I am searching for answers to the questions that are within the domain of painting, while reflecting on our present visual culture.
